Coffee culture has become big in Japan over the past few years. Since the opening of Arabica Café in 2014, coffee shops have been popping up all over Kyoto city.
Of course, this is fine by me because I love coffee. The new wave of coffee shops also offer stylish spaces to enjoy your coffee.
One prime example is Wanderers Stand, a new coffee shop in southern Kyoto. The shop is small with a rustic and comfortable atmosphere, like something you might find in Williamsburg, New York. The staff are friendly and creative (they are film makers/ baristas) and they serve great coffee. The best way to lure non-coffee drinking friends to this place? The promise of amazing banana bread, which the shop also offers.
